Each vial contains:
Cefazolin Sodium equivalent to Cefazolin ............... 250 mg
or

INDICATIONS
Cefazolin Sodium Injection is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible microorganisms.
It may be used in the treatment of:
• Respiratory tract infections
• Skin and soft-tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Biliary tract infections
• Septicemia and bloodstream infections
• Endocarditis caused by susceptible organisms
• Perioperative prophylaxis against susceptible bacterial infections
Treatment should be guided by the susceptibility of the causative organism and applicable antimicrobial guidelines.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Cefazolin Sodium is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefazolin, other cephalosporins, or any component of the formulation.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Particular consideration may be required with concomitant use of:
• Probenecid
• Anticoagulants such as warfarin
• Other nephrotoxic medicines
• Other β-lactam antibiotics
The treating physician should review all concomitant medications before administration.
