Sterile Ophthalmic Solution
1. COMPOSITION
Each mL contains:
• Sodium Hyaluronate 1.8 mg (0.18% w/v).
• Sodium Perborate 0.028 mg (0.0028% w/v).
• Excipients: As applicable.
• Sterile aqueous vehicle q.s.
2. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Sterile, clear ophthalmic solution for topical ocular administration.
3. THERAPEUTIC CLASS
Ophthalmic Lubricant – Artificial Tear Preparation.
4. INDICATIONS
Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops are indicated for the temporary relief and management of symptoms associated with ocular surface dryness and irritation, including:
• Dryness of the eyes.
• Burning and discomfort associated with dry eyes.
• Irritation caused by environmental conditions such as wind, dust or prolonged screen use.
• Ocular surface discomfort associated with reduced tear film.
Sodium Hyaluronate provides lubrication and hydration of the ocular surface, while Sodium Perborate is used as part of the preservative system.
5. CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Hypersensitivity to sodium hyaluronate, sodium perborate, or any component of the formulation.
6. DRUG INTERACTIONS
• No significant drug interactions are expected when used topically as directed.
• If other ophthalmic preparations are being used, they should generally be administered with an appropriate interval between applications.
The treating physician or pharmacist should review concomitant ophthalmic medicines before use.
7. ADMINISTRATION
For topical ophthalmic use only. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) according to the approved product information. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye or surrounding surfaces. If using other ophthalmic preparations, separate administration by an appropriate interval.
8. STORAGE
Store according to the storage conditions stated on the approved product label. Protect from excessive heat, moisture and light. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. Do not use if the solution shows visible particles, precipitation or unexpected discoloration.
