1. COMPOSITION
Each mL contains:
Chloramphenicol — 5 mg
Flurbiprofen Sodium — 0.3 mg
Phenylmercuric Nitrate — 0.002% w/v
Sterile aqueous vehicle — q.s.
2. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Sterile Ophthalmic Solution.
3. THERAPEUTIC CLASS
Ophthalmic Antibacterial / Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Combination.
4. INDICATIONS
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections of the eye associated with ocular inflammation.
Bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial ocular infections where antibacterial and anti-inflammatory treatment is indicated.
Helps reduce ocular inflammation and associated discomfort.
5. CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to Chloramphenicol, Flurbiprofen Sodium, other NSAIDs, or any component of the formulation.
Patients with a history of serious blood dyscrasias associated with Chloramphenicol.
Viral, fungal or mycobacterial ocular infections unless specifically prescribed by a physician.
For topical ophthalmic use only.
6. DRUG INTERACTIONS
No significant systemic drug interactions are expected with topical ophthalmic administration.
If other ophthalmic preparations are being used, allow an interval of at least 5–10 minutes between applications.
7. ADMINISTRATION
Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) 3–4 times daily, or as directed by a physician.
Wash hands before use.
Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye, eyelids or other surfaces.
Use only for the prescribed duration.
Remove contact lenses before application and reinsert as directed by the physician.
8. STORAGE
Store below 25°C, protected from excessive heat and light.
Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date.
